Confined Space:
Working in Confined Space - Emergency Rescue Teams - Escape/Rescue Breathing Apparatus


This course, which meets the requirements of the HSA Code of Practice for Working in Confined Spaces, 2010, gives training indentifying and understanding the nature, hazards and risks associated with working in confined spaces.


  • For those who will be required work in Confined Spaces or participate in Emergency & Rescue Teams, and,

  • For those working where hazardous confined spaces occur but who need to avoid such places/situations.

 

There are 3 options...

 

Option 1: Half-day general Introduction to Working in Confined Spaces,

 

Option 2: One day Course including Option1 plus Emergency Planning and the use of typical Safety Equipment with simulation exercises, and,

 

Option 3: Two day Course including Option 1 and 2 plus selection and use of Breathing Apparatus with simulation exercises.

 

Each Course can accommodate up to 10 persons.

  • Emergency Plan simulation exercise with Safety Equipment and Atmospheric Testing

 

Option 3 – with Emergency Planning & Breathing Apparatus

Options 1 & 2 plus…

  • Selection of BA...

    • 10-min Escape Set

    • Long Duration Escape Set

    • SCBA Breathing Apparatus

  • Training in use of BA by Certified Trainer

  • Emergency Plan simulation exercise with Safety Equipment, Atmospheric Testing and Breathing Apparatus

PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION

Options 2 and 3 include practical demonstration/simulation exercises of confined space entry, safe system of working, emergency & rescue procedures, as appropriate.

 

LOCATION & DURATION

This course is usually delivered on site at the participant’s place of work.

The durations are as follows…

  • Option 1: Half-day

  • Option 2: One day

  • Option 3: Two days 

The programme can be delivered at a weekend if work requirements so demand.

Each Course can accommodate up to 10 persons.
