But what about your work stations and the risk of back ache, neck and shoulder pain, permanent back injury or repetitive strain injury? What can you do to assess the risk?
The answer is to apply reputable methods to ergonomic risk assessment.
The workshop will address the ergonomic hazards of Production Work Stations and VDU Work Stations.

Morning Session
The general principals of designing a safe work station in manufacturing
The general principals of designing a safe VDU work station in an office or manufacturing environment.
Ergonomic hazards, the associated risks (medical conditions arising) and typical precautions and controls
Background to the method and its validation
Analysis of the work station
Interpretation of results
A means to assess posture for risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs).
To assist in the identification of ergonomic solutions for reducing the physical stresses associated with manual lifting
