Office Ergonomics with VDU/DSE Workstation Self-Assessment:

A one-day in-company Workshop to train Office Staff to assess their own Work Station

See also Office Ergonomics Instructor

AIM & OBJECTIVES

Workstation / Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Ergonomics is an ergonomic course designed to help employees work comfortably and safely at their workstations and computing places. The course helps to reduce the risk of computing related back, wrist and shoulder pains (the “hidden cost of computing"). The course is practically oriented and includes DSE regulations in a concise manner.

This practical programme is designed to train participants in the skills of effective self risk assessment, which will enable each individual to carry out their own personal DSE assessment. This will benefit both the employee and the organisation and increase their awareness of poor Ergonomic positioning.

The focus throughout is on the development and demonstration of the practical skills necessary to function effectively as a Manual Handling Trainer.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The programme is intended for sedentary and semi-sedentary workers, that is, everyone who is desk-bound.
