AIM & OBJECTIVES

This course, which meets the requirements of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act, 2005 and insurance requirements, can be run either at the client's site or at the de Grandison Training Centre.
It covers all aspects of manual handling techniques and practices plus the special considerations necessary in handling, lifting and moving patients.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

All staff who will be involved in the handling and movement of patients, the elderly and the infirm.

The Course, which includes general Health & Safety practice, provides approx. 3.5 hours of training usually in a single session.

 

LOCATION & DURATION

The standard Programme is of 7 hours.

This course is best delivered as an in-house/in-company programme.
