Performance Measures:

Intended for organisations that are implementing Continuous Improvement / Kaizen / Lean Manufacture.

Measurement plays an important part in the functioning of any organisation.  Measures of performance are used as a means of...

  • Tracking overall performance,

  • Highlighting potential areas for improvement,

  • Setting improvement targets and,

  • Providing incentives to individuals and teams.

The cost of poor measures can be huge.  To take just one example:

Studies by major firms suggested that the cost of poor quality was equivalent to more than 20% of their turnover!
